Contribution Letter
Here is an example of the contribution letter that you can send or email to family and friends:
Dear ______,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Burns Park Foreign Language Initiative, a non-profit organization created by parent volunteers to provide funding for foreign language education at Burns Park Elementary School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I thought you might be interested in making a contribution to help continue to make foreign language education a reality for the children at Burns Park. Learning a foreign language will stimulate the growth of the children’s brains and enhance learning and cognitive development in many other areas. Just as importantly, it will help the children gain a competitive edge in the global economy and encourage them to become true citizens of the world. Please consider making a gift to this very worthy cause.
BPFLI is a non-profit corporation in the State of Michigan and now has 501(c)(3) status. Your financial contribution may be tax-deductible; you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. For additional information and to download a contribution form, please visit their website, www.bpfli.org.
